Based out of the Amsterdam office, Nick van Dam is partner, global chief learning officer & client advisor at McKinsey. He is an internationally recognized thought leader, advisor, researcher, author and speaker on Corporate Learning & Leadership Development. Over the course of his professional career he has served over 100 clients around the world. Dr. van Dam is also a professor at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania, where he works with candidates in the executive doctoral program for Chief Learning Officers.

Prior to McKinsey, he has been partner, global chief learning officer and director human capital for Deloitte. Nick has written articles and has been quoted by The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, Business Week, The India Times, Information Week, Management Consulting, CLO Magazine, and T+D Magazine. He has authored and co-authored more than 25 books and numerous articles on innovation in learning and leadership development. Under the patrons of the European Parliament Federal Ministry of Education & Research, he received the ‘2013 Leonardo European Corporate Learning Award’ for shaping the future of organizational learning and leadership development. He is the founder of the e-Learning for Kids foundation that has provided digital lessons for over 20 million underprivileged elementary school children.
